Teenage Angst

Today's poetic theme, as dictated by BBC Radio Bristol's Saturday morning show, was 'teenagers', so I came up with this:


Teenagers will often leave their parents highly-strung.

With mood swings, tantrums, drink and even piercings of the tongue.

They drive their parents to despair,

While ranting that they 'do not care'.

They remind us why some species eat their young.
